Negotiation 101 - How to Sell Your House
There may be seller contributions to closing costs, a request for furniture to be "thrown in," repair requests, and other "oddball" requests, within the offer as well. Still, remain calm.
Remember, an offer to purchase is just an offer.
Consider the offer in whole - not just the offer price. And then go back with a counter offer you can live with.
The key to a successful negotiation is the respectful exchange of proposals without the interference caused by emotions! I know this is really easier said than done when it concerns selling your Brevard County Florida house or condo. When emotion enters the negotiation process the ability to look for alternatives is diminished.
Remaining calm is the key to negotiating the sale of your house.
Good luck...and rely on the counsel of your real estate agent.

Your house just “ain’t!”

Hey, Mr. Seller, your house is
- not the biggest in the neighborhood,
- not the lowest priced in the neighborhood,
- not the magazine cover curb appeal of your neighbors,
- not the newest
- not the most updated
but………………
It can be sold! Because you house is
- clean,
- neat,
- uncluttered,
- easy to show prospective buyers,
- staged appropriately,
- has a welcoming feel
- priced appropriately for its condition, location, age and competition.

Is a home warranty worth it?
First of all, in this buyer’s market there is
Home warranties are not that expensive. They may not provide 100% bumper-to-bumper coverage but they do offer some comfort.
As a buyer you should have must have a home inspection conducted by a competent home inspection company. Upon getting a clean
bill of health then you need to insist on a home warranty.
As nice as your new home may be, none of us have a crystal ball!
While most home warranties do not cover pre-existing conditions, you should have protection for future events. I had a home warranty when I purchased my current home. It came in handy when the roof leaked!
[Wish I had one when my AC went out yesterday. New AC on its way for about $4,000!]
Buy a home with me as your buyer’s agent I will include a home warranty at closing. Of course I will try to get the seller to pay for it first!
